This courageous police captain was initially disciplined for refusing to require his subordinates to attend an event at a Muslim Brotherhood mosque in Tulsa. So he filed a federal suit against the Tulsa Police Department asking for $1 in damages on each of two claims. I love him.
…Memos indicate that attendance was initially voluntary. However, Deputy Chief Daryl Webster ordered each patrol division to send six officers and three supervisors, when no one signed up.

Shock Graphics Show Severity of Proposed Obama Budget Cuts (The Blaze)

We are still five days away from the unveiling of the President’s 2012 Budget, yet the number-crunching and long-term analysis are in full swing. Senator Rand Paul has been making the rounds this week, touting his proposal to slice $500 billion dollars from the budget while White House Budget Director Jack Lew penned a piece for the New York Times that let us all know the President made some “tough choices” when cutting an estimated $775 million from the 3.8 TRILLION dollar budget. (By the way, $1.5 Trillion of that is CBO estimated deficit spending, or money we will have to borrow from someone.) Of course there are some savings to be had if the five year spending freeze is accomplished, estimates say $400 Billion over 10 years.
The 3.8 Trillion dollar number is staggering enough, but looms even larger when you consider it against the President’s proposed $775 million dollars in tough choice cuts. Doug Ross (a real person and not George Clooney’s “ER” character) posted these charts to help us understand.
It is difficult to see the cuts, so Doug zoomed in a little for us.

Illinois U.S. Representatives Don Manzullo and Peter Roskam and 40 of their colleagues in Congress are calling on President Barack Obama to acknowledge America’s Godly heritage.
Manzullo and Roskam co-signed a letter asking President Obama to correct remarks he recently made in Indonesia where he referred to America’s national motto as “E Pluribus Unum — out of one, many.” The actual national motto, adopted by Congress in 1956, is “In God We Trust.”
The letter also raised concerns about recent presentations by Obama in which he has excluded the word “Creator” from his recitation of the opening lines of the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration states that we are “endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights.” On three occasions in the last month Obama has deleted the word “Creator” from his quotes from America’s founding document.
“Once may be a mistake, but three times is a pattern,” said U.S. Representative Randy Forbes (R-VA), the chief author of the letter and chairman of the Congressional Prayer Caucus. “By misrepresenting things as foundational as the Declaration of Independence and our national motto, the President is inaccurately reflecting America and undercutting important parts of our nation’s history.”
Forbes and his co-signers point out in their letter that founder John Adams believed that “it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand.”
Their letter to Obama says, “If Adams was right, by making these kinds of statements to the rest of the world, you are removing one of the cornerstones of our secure freedom. If we pull the thread of religious conviction out of the marketplace of ideas, we unravel the tapestry of freedom that birthed America.”
Obama’s incorrect reference to the national motto follows a recent episode involving the new lavish Visitors Center at the U.S. Capitol. When the new Center was unveiled, it included a major exhibit which also falsely declared that “E Pluribus Unum” is our national motto.
It took Congressional intervention to get the exhibit revised to include the true version of the national motto.

Islamic Superheroes in Your Living Room
Discovery Kids cable channel recently rebranded itself as The Hub, and it appears that re-branding is important in religion as well as in marketing. As part of the channel’s re-branding, The Hub wants to air “The 99,” a show with 99 superheroes, far more than the Justice League or the X-Men. However, “The 99″ is also an attempt to re-brand Islam. The program chronicles the adventures of 99 Sharia-compliant superheroes, each of whom embodies an attribute of Allah. The debut of “The 99″ has been pushed back at least until January, supposedly due to unspecified “production issues.”
Barack Obama praised the work of the comic’s creator, saying, “His superheroes embody the teachings of the tolerance of Islam.” Would he have said the same thing about a cartoon that featured characters from another religion? Can the head of a supposedly secular country endorse a program that seems to proselytize young children? The show has aired in England, where a Times of London columnist wrote that the show’s mission was “to instill old-fashioned Islamic values in Christian, Jewish and atheist children.” Would those be “old-fashioned values” such as honor killings and suicide bombings?

The head of the Ohio Democratic Party is brushing off his description of Tea Partiers and other opponents of President Obama’s health care law as “f–kers,” saying he shares a penchant for blurting with Vice President Biden.
“It is what it is,” Ohio Democratic Party Chairman Chris Redfern told Fox News regarding his Monday appearance at an endorsement event by the United Steelworkers for several Ohio Democrats, including Gov. Ted Strickland.
“Vice President Biden and I have a way with words,” Redfern said, conjuring up the vice president’s description this spring of the signing of the health care law as a “big f—ing deal.”

Christians arrested for giving out the Gospel in Michigan | Christian Coalition of America.

As hard as it may be to believe, it’s true. Four Christians were arrested in Detroit this week for distributing copies of the Gospel outside of an Arab International Festival. In addition to being arrested, the camera (with any video of what they were doing, as well as how event security and police reacted) was confiscated.
In many ways you expect to see this sort of thing in some third world countries. But this is America. And now it’s here.

Arrested were Negeen Mayel, Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, Paul Rezkalla, and David Wood. Mayel, an eighteen-year-old female, whose parents emigrated from Afghanistan and a recent convert from Islam to Christianity, was also charged with failure to obey a police officer’s orders. …
“These Christian missionaries were exercising their Constitutional rights to free speech and the free exercise of religion, but apparently the Constitution carries little weight in Dearborn, where the Muslim population seems to dominate the political apparatus,” said Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center.
Thompson stated that the Constitution does not allow police to ban the right of free speech just because there are those to disagree.
“It’s apparent that these arrests were a retaliatory action over the embarrassing video of the strong arm tactics used last year by Festival Security Guards,” Thompson said. “This time, the first thing police officers did before making the arrests was to confiscate the video cameras in order to prevent a recording of what was actually happening.”
So it’s come to this?
Have we really gone so far down the slippery slope in this country that you can be arrested for “disorderly conduct” for sharing the Gospel? Or even just expressing religious views that someone else might disagree with?
As noted in the article above, the Thomas More Law Center is representing the group that was arrested in a case that (in a just world/country) will result in big victory for free speech and religious rights. And, in our opinion, should involve an award of some big damages to the city.
While it’s true we live in an overly litigious society, cases like this are a must to be fought out in court. And, since it seems that the only thing anyone understands anymore are large financial judgments, the city should get slapped with a big one. And hopefully learn a lesson – and serve as an example.

Do you remember the scene? The Senate. Barbara Boxer hearing from a Brigadier General? Silly General! He addresses Barbara as “Ma’am”, and she CORRECTS him, telling him she’s “worked SO hard to earn the title, “Senator”, so please to use that when speaking to her.
Read the letter sent to Sen. Barbara Boxer from an Alaskan Airlines pilot below. Many of us witnessed the arrogance of Barbara Boxer on June 18, 2009 as she admonished Brigadier General Michael Walsh because he addressed her as “ma’am” and not “Senator” before a Senate hearing.
This letter is from a National Guard aviator and Captain for Alaska Airlines named Jim Hill. I wonder what he would have said if he were really angry. Long fly Alaska!!!!!

You were so right on when you scolded the General on TV for using the term, “ma’am,” instead of “Senator”. After all, in the military, “ma’am” is a term of respect when addressing a female of superior rank or position. The General was totally wrong. You are not a person of superior rank or position. You are a member of one of the world’s most corrupt organizations, the U.S. Senate, equaled only by the U.S. House of Representatives.
Congress is a cesspool of liars, thieves, inside traders, traitors, drunks (one who killed a staffer, yet is still revered), criminals, and other low level swine who, as individuals (not all, but many), will do anything to enhance their lives, fortunes and power, all at the expense of the People of the United States and its Constitution, in order to be continually re-elected. Many Democrats even want American troops killed by releasing photographs. How many of you could honestly say, “We pledge our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor”? None? One? Two?
Your reaction to the General shows several things. First is your abysmal ignorance of all things military. Your treatment of the General shows you to be an elitist of the worst kind. When the General entered the military (as most of us who served) he wrote the government a blank check, offering his life to protect your corpulent derriere, now safely and comfortably ensconced in a 20 thousand dollar leather chair, paid for by the General’s taxes. You repaid him for this by humiliating him in front of millions.
Second is your puerile character, lack of sophistication, and arrogance, which borders on the hubristic. This display of brattish behavior shows you to be a virago, termagant, harridan, nag, scold or shrew, unfit for your position, regardless of the support of the unwashed, uneducated masses who have made California into the laughing stock of the nation.
What I am writing, are the same thoughts countless millions of Americans have toward Congress, but who lack the energy, ability or time to convey them. Regardless of their thoughts, most realize that politicians are pretty much the same, and will vote for the one who will bring home the most bacon, even if they do consider how corrupt that person is. Lord Acton (1834 – 1902) so aptly charged, “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
Unbeknownst to you and your colleagues, “Mr. Power” has had his way with all of you, and we are all the worse for it.
Finally, Senator, I, too, have a title. It is “Right Wing Extremist Potential Terrorist Threat.” It is not of my choosing, but was given to me by your Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, and you were offended by “ma’am”?

Give Away This Story’s Ending

Everyone loves a good Christmas movie! But why do we enjoy watching them year after year when we already know the ending? Because that’s what we really love about them—the ending! And sometimes those endings leave you wanting a little bit more. For example, what happens to Mr. Potter, Bob Cratchett, or even the Grinch? Do they receive their comeuppance or their reward? Regardless, we enjoy imagining the great things that result as these beloved (or despised) characters live on after our view into their lives comes to an end.
However, with the True Story of Christmas, we don’t have to speculate. God has provided us with enough detail that we know the ending for the baby who was born in a manger. As the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, He will rule eternally (Revelation 21-22)! As we celebrate the birth of Jesus this Christmas, let’s remember that His story has the most exciting ending of all. And that’s an ending that we should never hesitate to give away!

Great post at Target Rich Environment: Tax Dollars Paying To Add Injury to Insult
Random Nuclear Strikes (link) had a link to this animated editorial cartoon on “How to Speak Teabag” (link) at National Public Radio’s news website. I wouldn’t care much if this piece of garbage was on someone’s privately-funded blog or website, but this is aggravating: a taxpayer-funded (National Public Radio) website running a piece of propaganda belittling concerned taxpayers.
This also raises the specter of the Obama administration’s collusion with the National Endowment for the Arts to propagandize Obamacare (link), where in a shocking violation of federal law, taxpayer-funded artists were enlisted in a conference call to produce pro-Obamacare art. NPR received a $50,000 grant (link) under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (aka “Stimulus” or Porkulus Bill).
Was NPR represented on the NEA conference call? Is this what they’re using ther “stimulus” cash for? Is there a lack of privately funded opinion identical to this?
This is what the tea parties are all about: the creeping blob of huge government turning against taxpayers with our own money, and that borrowed from future generations.

New database names those who made earmarks possible
Yesterday in stltoday.com the main cmmentary was about an almost unnoticed development amid the national health care fracus: “two of Washington’s nonpartisan watchdog organizations released a comprehensive database of how Congress spent $19.9 billion on 11,286 earmarked projects in fiscal year 2009…”
According to “Taxpayers for Common Sense and the Center for Responsive Politics, the $19.9 billion spent on 11,286 earmarked projects in the 2009 budget bills actually exceed the $18.3 billion for 11,780 projects in the FY 2008 budget bills…”
“Relative to a budget of $3 trillion a year, $19.9 billion in earmarks is chump change: less than two-thirds of 1 percent of all spending… But in the real world, $19.9 billion is not chump change. It represents $66 for every man, woman and child in the United States…”
It doesn’t matter that some may consider these expenditures ‘important public needs’ — these need NOT be filled by the federal government at all, as it is NOT the duty of the fed to do these things as stated in the Constitution. We are so PREDISPOSED to holding out our hand and expecting someone else to come along and hold up our arm so that we can receive our handout, that we EXPECT the government to solve all these problems and no longer have the capacity to work it out ourselves. THIS is the true LOSS OF LIBERTY, my friends.

Nevermind that over 750 scientists, including Nobel Laureates, are backing up their refutation of the climate change hoax with actual data that debunk CO2 as the cause. Pardon me if I retch on the hype that made Al Gore a billionaire and ask why we must pass cap & trade legislation that will devestate our economy because we’re threatened with a disputed hypothesis. What You Can Do About ObamaCare
Barack Obama just launched his full court press to get his socialized ObamaCare passed before the August recess.
He just struck a deal with House Democrats that gives an outside panel even more power and control over tough healthcare cost decisions — allowing Congress and the President to “pass the buck” when healthcare costs skyrocket and rationing is enforced!

During his highly publicized healthcare forum on ABC TV, Obama responded to a question from a woman who was concerned whether her 105-year-old mother will have access to health care. Obama at first insisted that she would but then said the government needs to step in and make end-of-life health care decisions for the terminally ill…
“At least we can let doctors know and your mom know that, you know what, maybe this isn’t going to help. Maybe you’re better off not having the surgery but taking the pain killer.”
“Better off” with pain killers instead of a medical procedure? That’s rationing plain and simple!

Andy Rooney said on ’60 Minutes’ a few weeks back:
I don’t think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like the United Caucasian College Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America; and see what happens…Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door.
Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the ball game.
I believe they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason, which is why there are no girls allowed. Girls belong in the Girl Scouts! ARE YOU LISTENING MARTHA BURKE?
I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is an opinion.
I have the right ‘NOT’ to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird, or tick me off.
When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling; it is the Law of Probability.
I believe that if you are selling me a milkshake, a pack of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American/Canadian/British citizen, you should have to speak English!
My father and grandfather didn’t die in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours.
I think the police should have every right to shoot or arrest you if you threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can’t understand the word ‘freeze’ or ‘stop’ in English, see the above lines.
I don’t think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special National Assistance, loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, corner store, or any other business.
We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and open to their interpretations.
I don’t hate the rich I don’t pity the poor.
I know pro wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television. That doesn’t stop you from watching them.
I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that’s better, and put your name on the building.
It doesn’t take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid; and smack their little behinds when necessary, and say ‘NO!’
I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don’t pretend they are a political statement. And, please, stay home until that new lip ring heals. I don’t want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you serve me French fries!
I am sick of ‘Political Correctness.’ I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa ; so how can they be ‘African-Americans/Canadian/British’? Besides, Africa is a continent.. I don’t go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe . I am proud to be from America and nowhere else
And if you don’t like my point of view, tough…

It is said that on average 86% of Canadians/ Americans & British believe in God. Therefore I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a problem in having ‘In God We Trust’ on American money and having ‘God’ in the Pledge of Allegiance. Why don’t we just tell the 15%+ to BE QUIET!!!
