The best way to lead a nation astray of its values is to keep it ignorant of its history.

Truth is Divisive

Apparently telling the truth about the injustice and male-dominance of Islam is tantamount to slander these days, according to CAIR and the Army (http://newsmax.com/Headline/US-Day-of-Prayer/2010/04/22/id/356609).  So much so that they’ve taken Franklin Graham, son of the famous evangelist Billy Graham, off the roster for a prayer event at the Pentagon.  Even the National Day of Pray has been shot down by a Wisconsin judge—get this—for being unconstitutional!  Of all the craptrap – has she ever heard of the Declaration of Independence, “Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God”?

The Christian will more and more find himself divided out of this world’s societies because we do not belong here, but our mission is here.  Pray for one another and for them that they might come to know the Lord.

Hebrews 4:12 (New International Version)

12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

If we are right in our religious views, why not do as Jefferson suggested, and use persuasion to convince others — as "the holy author of our religion" did, according to Jefferson.

NO! We do belong here! From the beginning, we were commanded to take dominion over the Earth. That command was repeated throughout the Bible & was never repealed: Genesis 1:28, 9:7, Joshua Ch.1; Psalm 8; Matthew 28:18-20. If you compare Joshua 1:1-9 with Matthew 28:18-20, you will see that the latter is a condensed version of the former. We were to take dominion over the Earth & apply God's Law.

Throughout the Bible, we are told that the Earth is the Lord's and everything in it. We are told in Genesis that God created the World, and it was "Good". We are told to be the salt and light to the World. Over & over we are told that the Earth is for US to inherit.

But the churchmen have ignored these commands to take dominion! They have renounced dominion in exchange for a false doctrine which encourages us to surrender the World to the devil.

And the MISTRANSLATIONS! They make me weep! One of the mistranslations on which the churchmen who teach us to surrender the world to the devil rely most heavily is John 18:36. But Jesus did NOT say His Kingdom is not "of" (i.e., "over") this World. He said His Kingdom is not "from" this World. He was speaking of the SOURCE of His Kingdom. The Greek word is "ek", it means "from" in the sense of "origin"; it does NOT mean "over". And look at the context of the passage. Pilate says, "Aren't you the King of the Jews? Your own people brought you here!" Jesus' response shows that His Kingdom didn't come from the Jews – it came from somewhere else.

So, the class of people who are even more GUILTY that the lawyers for our present state of affairs is the clergy. They have ignored the plain teachings of the Bible and have substituted unbiblical doctrines. Christianity is a religion for real men & women! It is not a religion for wusses & wimps. But our derelict clergy have made it so. Shame on them!

Oh! I forgot to say: I am outraged about banning Franklin Graham from the event. I think he is a better pastor by far than his father. Political correctness will do us in. And will the "christian" pastors of our nation protest? No, they are focused on being "raptured" out of here any day now, and or they are sitting around waiting for Jesus to return and rescue them. A pox on all such BAD preachers.

I agree with both your posts theologically and politically, dear lady. My history and Bible knowledge are current enough, yet this post was brief and impetuous. Thank you for fleshing it out and explaining what needed to be said. “Fluffy” had a bit of pique because one of her favorite pastors was being picked on…

These two things, recalling Franklin Graham's invitation and declaring the National Day of Prayer unconstitutional are almost beyond words. America has recognized national days of prayer since the Second Continental Congress (1775). These observances recognized the role prayer and God's hand has played in our nation's history. One of the first things the first Congress did was vote to appoint and to pay a chaplain for each House. The Continental Congress on September 11, 1777, ordered the importation of 20,000 Bibles for the American troops and in 1782 Robert Aiken offered to print another 20,000 Bibles for Americans at his expense. George Washington required his soldiers to attend church on Sundays. I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

As far as a Muslim to speak at the National Day of Prayer service at the Pentagon. That would be a disgrace to our God, the founders and Christian America as a whole and invite God's wrath on America. We are not an Islamic country, we are Christian. Inviting a Muslim to speak at the National Day of Prayer service would be very inappropriate and offend millions of Americans.

That is akin to the story in Daniel chapter 5 about King Belshazzar drinking from the consecrated goblets of the Jewish Temple and toasting to his gods of gold and silver and other man-made objects. Like the goblets, we Christ-followers are vessels that have been consecrated, set apart as holy by God for His use. He has anointed us & set His seal upon us, making us His (2 Cor. 1:21-22). Thus, since there is no god but YHWH, the I AM, is not the god of Islam a pagan god? The Babylonian king desecrated the holy vessels and the hand of God wrote his destruction on the wall. Should we, God's saints (holy ones) allow such desecration as well? We shall not become unholy or unclean by this act of disgrace to our Sovereign Lord.

Pretty Simple

God speaks a lot about the fate of nations and those who don't support His people, Israel. It's in His Word, called the Bible. If folks would like the "Readers' Digest" version of how God treats those who badly treat His people (and how He disciplines His chosen ones as well), read the prophet Isaiah. It's only 66 short chapters and has battles, slaughters and lots of action scenes to keep you interested and awake. There's even a little poetry and some verses you're sure to recognize. If you're not up to that, just read this: ~~~ Genesis 12:3 (NIV) "I will bless those who bless you (meaning Israel), and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” ~~~ I'd take it seriously, since God's purposes will NOT be thwarted.

God’s Covenant with Abram – the Land

Genesis 15:18-21 (NIV) On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram and said, “To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates— the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites.”

Zechariah 12:9 (KJV)

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Samuel Adams

“If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”
