Remembering Pearl Harbor…

Remember those who lost their lives on this day in history, the day of infamy.

Please take a moment of silence to remember those who gave so much and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we could have the freedoms we share today, including freedom OF religion – not freedom FROM religion.

Thank you, Lord, for all the blessings you’ve given our nation. We ask Your forgiveness for ignoring You and pushing You out of the public square. We confess our sin against You and each other. Please forgive us corporately and individually as we try to pull this nation back to its roots. We know we cannot do it without You. We humbly ask for Your guidance to show us YOUR direction for America. Show us the path You want us to take and we know You’ll empower us to do it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pretty Simple

God speaks a lot about the fate of nations and those who don't support His people, Israel. It's in His Word, called the Bible. If folks would like the "Readers' Digest" version of how God treats those who badly treat His people (and how He disciplines His chosen ones as well), read the prophet Isaiah. It's only 66 short chapters and has battles, slaughters and lots of action scenes to keep you interested and awake. There's even a little poetry and some verses you're sure to recognize. If you're not up to that, just read this: ~~~ Genesis 12:3 (NIV) "I will bless those who bless you (meaning Israel), and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” ~~~ I'd take it seriously, since God's purposes will NOT be thwarted.
